An old tweet of mine has been quoted in a New Yorker piece on Gerry Adams. Obviously, I am grossly misrepresenting this to everyone as ‘I have been published in The New Yorker‘. You can read the article here. Try to get through the whole thing without blinking, in case you miss my bit.

Irish TV legend Gay Byrne has a show called The Meaning of Life in which various celebrities talk about their belief systems in a ‘What’s it all about, eh?’ sort of way. It’s usually pretty tedious, but then it doesn’t usually have Stephen Fry on it.

He’s making a list! He’s not even checking it once! Irish Santa Claus is coming to town! Merry happy and a Christmas new year, everyone.

In other news, I’m doing some writing for the new series of Republic of Telly. It goes out on RTÉ 2 on Mondays at 10:00PM.

I’m posting this at ten PM on Christmas night so it’s kind of pointless. Still: I wish you festive warmth and loveliness. Please enjoy this hilariously depressing image with my fondest regards.

I made a small contribution to a radio programme called An Ode to Chick Lit (on perceptions of women’s fiction). It was broadcast on Dublin City FM but the programme-maker, Pauline Dunne, has made it available on Soundcloud. You can listen here, if you’re so inclined.
